We're excited to announce that Estuaire is partnering with Advito, the consulting division of BCD Travel and the first travel consultancy to develop its own ISO-certified carbon reporting methodology.
This collaboration brings Estuaire's flight-level non-CO₂ modeling into Advito's GATE4 emissions framework, giving corporate travel clients a more accurate and actionable picture of their air travel climate impact.
Why non-CO₂ effects matter in corporate travel
CO₂ alone doesn't tell the full story. Non-CO₂ effects can represent a significant share of a flight's total climate impact, yet most methodologies apply a single uniform multiplier regardless of route, altitude, or atmospheric conditions. Estuaire's research shows that non-CO₂ impacts are highly uneven; some very specific routes and conditions contribute disproportionately to warming, in ways a standard multiplier cannot capture.
Flight-by-flight modeling changes that. For each flight, Estuaire accounts for real-world variables; flight path, weather, temperature, cloud cover… to calculate a more precise climate impact, which feeds directly into Advito's reporting dashboard.
A new level of precision
GATE4 replaces the one-size-fits-all multiplier approach with flight-by-flight non-CO₂ modeling. For each flight, Estuaire accounts for real-world variables including flight path, weather conditions, temperature, and cloud cover to calculate a more precise climate impact.

- In practice: Advito calculates a client's CO₂ emissions and securely transfers the data to Estuaire, which applies its non-CO₂ modeling and returns the results for seamless integration into Advito's reporting dashboard.
- The result: travel managers get a granular view of where climate impact is most concentrated across their travel program, and where targeted action can make the biggest difference.
What this means for corporate travel programs
The result of this partnership is offered as an add-on to Advito's existing GATE4 methodology. The enhanced data enables more targeted sustainability recommendations, helping organizations understand which routes and travel patterns carry the greatest climate impact beyond carbon, and where action can make the biggest difference.
We're proud to work with the Advito team to bring this capability to corporate travel programs at scale!
