By applying comprehensive aviation climate methodologies, we're helping VTI build a detailed inventory of Sweden's air travel emissions - capturing both CO₂ and non-CO₂ climate effects across all routes and travel patterns
This collaboration is about:
📊 Creating a comprehensive climate inventory of Swedish air travel
🌡️ Assessing the full climate impact including contrails and other short-lived non-CO₂ effects
🔍 Providing route-specific insights to identify where climate impact is most concentrated
🇸🇪 Supporting Sweden's evidence-based transport policy decisions
This work will provide VTI with granular data to inform transport research and policy recommendations, helping Sweden chart a path toward more sustainable air travel
